The meeting on Monday December 14th 2009 was a success with many new interested people joining and taking on interim roles.
There are still numerous tasks for any newcomers who would like to have some involvement.
The next ‘Friends of the Wetlands Project’ meeting is to be held at 7pm on Tuesday 12 January 2010, at Bay Islands Community Centre, Jackson Rd Russell Island.
At the meeting we will be:
- reporting on progress since the last meeting
- meeting other team members and identifying them in their roles in the Project
- receiving a draft of the Project Plan and offering input into the future of the Project
- offering formative comments concerning project activities and priorities of the Project
We are all volunteers, so your interest and willingness to take a role and have a voice in this Project is appreciated and your input is valued. As this will be the last meeting where Project Founder and President, Bryan and Anita Atkin are attending before leaving for a well-deserved holiday, it is especially important that you are present. Bryan and Anita will remain connected to the Project on a voluntary basis for expert advice and training Project volunteers.
Since it is always good to share conversation over food, please bring a plate of something to share. We look forward to seeing you on the 12th.
Please indicate your availability and/or interest to attend by email to:
Bryan Atkin
